We envision a world where borders are transcended by unity and understanding. We strive to create a community in Manhattan where all refugees, regardless of their origin, feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to rebuild their lives. |

Our Mission
The mission of the Manhattan Area Resettlement Team (MART) is to coordinate an equitable and comprehensive set of services required to successfully resettle allies in the community and surrounding area through the efforts of the MART team. Services include safe housing, basic furnishings and clothing, and access to health care, social services, education, and employment resources. |

Our Core Values
MART’s organizational values are the fundamental beliefs that underpin the organization and are shared by all participants: (a) Ethics and integrity ensure that all team members act in an honest, fair, and responsible manner. (b) Respect implies that all team members honor the individual human rights of allies, regardless of religion, beliefs, race, ethnicity, nationality, or gender. (c) Innovation fosters creative, nimble, and dynamic problem-solving to challenges. (d) Drive encourages team members to use creativity and skills to forge mutually beneficial alliances to reach common goals. e) Long-term commitment assures both refugees and the Manhattan community at large that MART will continue to serve as an advocate for refugees as they adjust and integrate into fully engaged community members. |

Our Mission in Action
Since our inception in 2021, MART has been a cornerstone of hope and support in Manhattan. We've proudly welcomed over 265+ individuals (and counting!), providing them with essential resources ranging from housing to employment. Our transition to a broader mission has allowed us to touch the lives of countless others, preparing us to assist refugees from diverse global backgrounds. With the community's unwavering support, we've made significant strides in ensuring every refugee feels at home in Manhattan. Through dedicated services, community integration programs, and continuous advocacy, we're not just resettling individuals; we're reshaping futures. |
