What is MART?

---

Founded in 2021 by Army veterans Aaron Estabrook and Fatima Jaghoori, MART began as a beacon of hope for Afghan refugees seeking solace in Manhattan. Recognizing a broader global need, by spring 2023, our mission expanded beyond Afghanistan as we began welcoming refugees, and we embraced a new identity as the Manhattan Area Resettlement Team. ​
